Wernert Center Expansion

The Thomas M. Wernert Center is a mental health recovery and support center named in honor of Tom Wernert, who was the executive director of the Lucas County Mental Health Board for 30 years until he passed away in 1999.
The 12,500 sq ft expansion S2F Corp included purchasing an adjoining property (a former gas station property on Ashland Avenue), demolition, and vacating an alleyway. We completed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), a Phase II ESA, a geophysical survey to locate former underground storage tanks, an asbestos survey of the existing building, and UST removal for two potential USTs situated on the property.
S2F Corp approached us for additional work, including building demolition oversight, site preparation, and hydraulic lift removal. All work was completed on schedule enabling the construction activities to begin.
