The City of Canton, the Canton Community Improvement Corporation, and Kubota Membrane USA signed an agreement allowing Kubota to begin construction of a new research and development facility located at the City of Canton’s Water Reclamation Facility (WRF).

This project marks another step forward in the partnership between CT Consultants, the City of Canton and Kubota.  CT Consultants continues its role in the program with the design of the new 8,500 square foot Research and Development Center located on site of the Canton WRF which is under construction of an $80 million upgrade.  The WRF upgrade, also designed by CT Consultants, will make the Canton facility the largest membrane treatment plant in the world.R-D Tour

Kubota manufactures the high-tech membrane bioreactor filtration system being installed at the Canton WRF.  The Research and Development Center will serve as Kubota’s first research and development facility in North America with a long-term goal to bring part of the manufacturing arm of the corporation to Canton as well.
