The new YMCA and Community Center offers something for everyone!
The City of Reynoldsburg had the opportunity to add to its legacy of a strong parks system by purchasing 11 acres adjacent to its 42-acre Huber Park property. This created a single park containing multiple venues for indoor and outdoor fitness and recreational activities.
CT evaluated this new site and its existing facilities and identified improvements, including a new community center.
With CT as Architect of Record and Moody Nolan as Design Architect, they began a collaborative effort to design and construct this 75,000 sf, two-story community center.
CT coordinated code compliance, provided site/civil and landscape design, and prepared all construction documentation for the new YMCA. The center features several venues for use by the community, including youth programs, wellness programs, and indoor/outdoor aquatics. A gymnasium with a suspended running track was included to utilize space and allow for exercise options. The YMCA includes locker rooms, administrative offices, an outdoor pool, a teen center, a mind/body loft, a teaching kitchen, and more.
