CT Recognizes Jennifer Brown’s Promotion
Jennifer Brown has been promoted to Client Development Lead at CT Consultants, a Verdantas Company. In this leadership role, Jennifer will focus on growing our account footprint in the Great Lakes Region and further developing and delivering successful strategies to achieve our growth goals. Jennifer, a shareholder of the firm, has previously served as an economic development, project development, and funding strategist for CT. CT Consultants grows its brownfield expertise with the addition of John Zampino
CT is excited to announce John Zampino, CPG, has joined the CT team as Senior Environmental Program Manager. John, an Ohio VAP Certified Professional, will lead CT’s brownfield program. Over his career, he has gained expertise in Phase I environmental site assessments, underground storage tank closures, hydrogeologic site investigations, wetland delineations, asbestos and lead surveys, brownfield redevelopment, landfill monitoring, and post-closure certification.

Samer Awadallah, PE, PTOE, has been promoted to CT’s Lakeshore Market as a Market Leader. Samer joined CT in 2013 through the merger with EG&G and has since excelled at the business principles encompassing CT’s talent-focused culture. Samer will oversee the delivery of client solutions in Northern Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania while providing business leadership to advance CT’s growth.

Diane Oress, PE, appointed as Executive Vice President
CT Consultants’ Board of Directors is pleased to appoint Diane L. Oress, PE, as Executive Vice President. Diane is a passionate AEC business leader dedicated to achieving corporate growth objectives by strategically engaging teams and promoting leadership development and diversity.
After joining CT in 2017, she served as Vice President and Market Leader of CT’s Lakeshore Market in Northern Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania, overseeing the delivery of services to the firm’s legacy clients, managing staff development, and directing business growth opportunities.
As EVP, Diane will work closely with the President to provide overall management of the company. Her role positions the firm with executive-level leadership for future growth and continued success.

CT Approved for Planning Services to the Ohio Appalachian Community
CT was recently confirmed as an approved firm for services under the Appalachian Community Grant Program. The new program, signed into law by Ohio’s Governor Mike DeWine, allocates $500,000,000 for Appalachian communities to plan and construct large-scale projects that will improve the quality of life for residents. South Russell Village Stream Restored to Healthy Form
CT is excited to see the final progress of this Manorbrook Stream Restoration project over the next few weeks. Plantings were installed in late Fall of 2022 and lay dormant through the winter, where seeds will begin to emerge shortly as the growing season begins. The project required clearing a forested plant community for the necessary grading to take place. To repurpose some of the trees onsite, the restoration was designed with the use of log riffle structures to provide grade control and enhanced aquatic habitat.
The Manorbrook Stream area will eventually turn back into forested wetlands as it becomes well-established over the next few decades. Until then, live stakes (shrub plantings) and a seeding mixture of grasses and sedges will flourish as bank and floodplain stabilization and provide essential native wildlife habitat. READ MORE

Honda Motor and LG Energy to Build EV Battery Plant in Fayetteville, Ohio
On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, joined by numerous state, local, and federal officials, announced that a joint venture between Honda and LG Energy Solutions will be constructing a $3.5 billion electric vehicle battery factory in Fayette County, Ohio at the Mid-West Mega Site near the interchange of I-71 and US 35. The clouds did not deter everyone pitching in to build a rain garden in South Russell Village Park. Chagrin River Watershed Partners, Inc. sponsored the installation as part of their rain garden class. The South Russell Village Mayor and crews, Cuyahoga Soil & Water, CT’s Emily Nagle, Carrie Ricker, Emmitt Messer-Kruse, and Rich Washington, made up the installation team.
