Central Signal System
City of Montgomery, Ohio
Advanced traffic management and central traffic control systems were installed at a busy intersection.
The project design consisted of removing the existing outdated copper wire interconnect signal system with a networked high-speed fiber optic ethernet communication system. Design for the fiber optic system and routing included significant communications with utilities and field meetings to assure the fiber optic routing was possible in brick walkways located in the City’s downtown Heritage District . The new signal system allows the City staff y to have remote access to the signal system from an office computer for monitoring, evaluating/responding to citizen complaints, and troubleshooting in an effort to maintain operational efficiency. CT manages the daily operation of the centrally controlled signal system remotely for the City.
