Multi-year phased citywide traffic signals upgrades.
Traffic signal plans for numerous traffic signals upgrades were prepared for the City over a multi-year phased infrastructure program. The work included traffic signal warrants and removal analyses, mast arm installations, pole mounted controllers, loop and video detection, pedestrian devices, radio interconnect, ground-mounted signs and pavement markings. Coordinated timing patterns for the peak and off-peak hours were designed using traffic coordination and simulation software. Special designs for the decorative signal supports were required due to the conflict between the pole-mounted controllers and the decorative bases.
