Del-Co Water Main Replacements
Mount Air, Ohio
New water mains for residents served by Del-Co Water.
The unincorporated community of Mount Air is seeking improved water service to its approximately 73 homes by joining forces with Del-Co Water. A majority of the homes were served by a failing public well system and the rest were on private wells that had water quality and quantity issues.
This project sought to extend new water mains from Del-Co’s system to the north throughout the new Water District. Limited hydrant coverage was planned for the area along with domestic service.
The project involved approximately 12,000 lf of new water mains and were funded through the Ohio EPA’s Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA). It also included several horizontal directional drilling installations under creeks and a state highway.
