Barnett Road Stormwater System Improvements

Columbus, Ohio

Green design elements make this project environmentally friendly.

New storm sewer systems were needed to reduce and eliminate drainage issues along the Barnett Road corridor in Columbus. East Main Street bound the project area to the north and East Livingston Avenue to the south.

The project also included several corresponding side streets. These side streets included the existing storm sewers that had been identified as potential outfalls for future improvements and had similar drainage issues to the ones along Barnett Road. The project area consisted of a mixture of residential and commercial properties.

1000’ of proposed storm sewer was constructed and connected to the existing 27” storm sewer. In addition, green design elements make this project environmentally friendly. NOTE: Pictures are of current conditions.
