Improvements to this road included widening the 2,100 ft. road to a minimum of 24’ with a concrete curb and gutter on both sides.

Improvements to this road included widening the 2,100 ft. road to a minimum of 24’ with concrete curb and gutter on both sides and installing new asphalt pavement with subsurface drainage. A new concrete sidewalk was constructed on the north side with a grass strip between the curb and walk.

The proposed improvements followed the existing alignment of the road, with only minor adjustments to the profile to improve drainage and match existing driveways. We evaluated the existing utilities to determine if any needed improvement. Due to the lack of curbs, there was no current storm sewer system along the road.

The addition of curbs required the construction of a new storm sewer system. Retaining walls were constructed along the south side of Amsterdam Road (on the downhill side). We also performed other services such as surveys, maintenance of traffic, and environmental.
