Jackson, Ohio

This project involved replacing the existing bridge 93-ft-long pony truss bridge on North High Street.

The replacement structure is a single-span structure 100’-8” long,
30 ft-wide (face-to-face of rails) galvanized truss superstructure with concrete deck superstructure with concrete abutments on drilled shafts foundation.

The project included roadway approach work, MOT via a detour, drainage, utilities, and geotechnical investigation, including demolition of the existing bridge, partial abutment removal, full-depth pavement replacement, and guardrail improvements. The project limits are within 450 ft along North High Street.

The improvements were designed within the existing ROW, meaning no ROW acquisition and horizontal alignment were required.
