West Bridge Street Bridge
Berea, Ohio
Three new bridges provide a continued connection to the park and a new overlook to the river.
CT prepared for the City of Berea construction contract documents and provided construction administration and inspection for the replacement of the West Bridge Street over Valley Parkway and Cleveland Metroparks All Purpose Trail.
A component of the replacement bridge included the design and construction of a utility bridge to support relocated water and gas lines.
In the same project area, Cuyahoga County hired CT to design the replacement of the West Center Street Bridge over the East Branch of the Rocky River (also in Berea). Aesthetic treatments incorporated into the new bridge’s design included an overlook of the Rocky River at one corner of the structure and decorative rail similar to the two West Bridge Street structures recently replaced by the city and located on the same block.
