$45 million of reconstruction on Route 20 in Lake County, Ohio.
CT was retained to design the $45 million reconstruction project of approximately nine miles eastbound and westbound of US Route 20. CT completed an initial field investigation to review the conditions of drainage structures, pipes, bridge structures, culverts and existing roadway to allow the Department of Transportation to develop a plan to improve and reconstruct US Route 20.
Preliminary engineering services included the review of the base mapping provide by ODOT, field survey to provide accurate horizontal and vertical monuments per ODOT standards, geometric evaluation of the interchange ramps of State Route 2, and utility locations. CT prepared approximately 296 permanent highway easements and right-of-way plan set that include re-establishing various centerlines.
We completed a field review and analyzed the surface provided by ODOT’s mapping department. CT provided management of all design elements including field survey, highway design, drainage design, bridge inspection, bridge and culvert design plans, traffic control and maintenance of traffic plans.
